Reports to: Manager, Professional Representatives
Location: National Office, Los Angeles
Type: Represented, Local 537

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handles agency franchising and personal manager’s paperwork
  • Provides service to members, agents, managers and industry professionals via phone, email, mail and in person
  • Processing of contracts and other agency and manager documents
  • Handle heavy data entry and maintenance of agency and manager records
  • Responsible for Documentum processing
  • Secretarial work and other duties such as opening and sorting mail, copying and faxing
  • Generates written communication to agents, managers, members, and industry professionals.
  • Fields initial phone calls/questions and complaints from members, agents, managers, etc.
  • Generate reports such as monthly agent lists, client lists and expired license lists, etc.
  • Assist co-workers on projects as needed
  • Other duties assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
(The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.)

  • Working knowledge of agency and manager relations (i.e. another group that represents our members) is helpful
  • Knowledge of Legacy SAG &/or Legacy AFTRA Agency Regulations
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Effectively work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate effective skills in the use of Microsoft and PC applications
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
  • Must be able to handle heavy phones
  • Must be able to type 35 WPM
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Certificates, licenses, and/or registrations:

  • N/A

TESTING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic skills - math, spelling, grammar and filing – passing score: 76%
  • Word and Excel (basic) – passing score: 76%
  • Typing test 35wpm
