Labor Relations Consultant

Based in Howland, OH

 

The Ohio Education Association (OEA) is accepting applications for a Labor Relations Consultant in the Howland, Ohio area.

The ideal candidate approaches labor relations consulting from an organizing perspective and can demonstrate effective skills in member advocacy, collective bargaining, community engagement, and political action. In addition, a candidate needs to understand public education and professional issues from both the K-12 and Higher Ed perspectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to work with diverse groups including local leadership and association members
  • High proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Familiarity with education policy, practice and political environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • A valid driver’s license is required
