Safety and Technology Administrator

The National Air Traffic Controllers Association, AFL-CIO ("NATCA"), the labor union representing federal-sector and private-sector air traffic controllers and other aviation safety professionals, is currently seeking to fill the position of Safety and Technology Administrator at the Union’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

The Safety and Technology Administrator will be responsible for performing a variety of support and general office functions for NATCA’s Safety and Technology Department, including creating correspondence, proofreading and editing copy for grammar, spelling, layout, accuracy, and clarity; maintaining departmental files, records, and databases; and responding to requests for information. The Safety and Technology Administrator will also provide support to Technical Representatives and NATCA members in committee and workgroup activities; develop and prepare Technical Representative and Subject Matter Expert solicitations; and gather and summarize data for reports.

Skills Desired: Qualified candidates should have at least two (2) years of relevant experience in an office administrative setting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work several projects at once under pressure. The candidate must be proficient with a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database management and presentation software. The candidate should also possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. A general understanding of air traffic control operations is preferred.
