Position Summary:
The Membership Database Specialist coordinates and implements established processes used in all Membership Dues Processing Systems. The Membership Database Specialist provides data management support for the Membership Team. Managing Data and daily requests is key to our union’s Dues collection Process success. The Membership Database Specialist works with members across all Divisions, exercising independent judgment and discretion in solving issues, requests, and updates to our Membership Data.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Critical Membership Data management, processing and distribution.
  • Updates and follows up on Healthcare Justice, Futuro, and Healthcare Rising Arizona requests/reports in Membership Dues Processing Systems as needed
  • Process COPE cancelations and handles requests from the COPE support ticketing system.
  • Assists Associates and Auditors in tracking and monitoring payment authorization forms for nonpayers.
  • Membership email alias: manage and respond, as necessary.
  • Both independently and in close collaboration with others, identify and fulfill reporting needs.
  • Pull and analyze data in order to provide accurate reports.
  • Work closely with Team providing support on data collection, entry/importing, extraction, and production of reports.
  • Provide solutions and recommend changes to processes to ensure accuracy and increase efficiency in close collaboration with divisions/departments across the organization.
  • Maintains organized processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Assists in maintaining electronic filing system.
  • Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • May be assigned to act as team lead on certain projects.
  • Other tasks of similar responsibility and skill level, as assigned.

Experience and Skills

  • Advance computer skills with MS Word (minimum 50 wpm)
  • Intermediate level in Excel, Access & Outlook
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to compose and edit letters and other documents, with accurate proofreading skills
  • Experience handling multiple demands, planning and prioritizing workflow, to meet deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to work long and varying hours, including weekends, nights and holidays.
  • Highly accurate attention to detail and follow-through
  • Contribute to a supportive and productive work environment by taking initiative and being solution focused
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
