Assistant Executive Director

Through the collective voice of more than 18,000 members, the Directors Guild of America (DGA) is a dynamic labor union working to empower directorial teams to protect and enhance their economic and artistic rights, and contend for their creative freedom. The DGA’s members include directors and members of the directorial team across film, TV and New Media.

Due to the retirement of a longtime Assistant Executive Director, the DGA is seeking an experienced union professional to serve as Assistant Executive Director.

The Assistant Executive Director is responsible for negotiating and enforcing Guild agreements, internal and external organizing and working with member committees.

Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to the labor movement with a minimum of 7+ years’ experience in contract enforcement, union organizing (external or internal) and union administration. Experience in entertainment industry helpful but not required.
