Recovery For All is a statewide coalition of 50 labor, community, and faith organizations united in a long-term mission to reduce and eliminate extreme racial, economic, and gender inequities in Connecticut. We are currently leading the fight to win long-term investments in our communities through progressive tax reform.

The Organizer will lead the coalition’s efforts to recruit more labor, community, and faith organizations and build the coalition base through direct organizing of member leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build one-on-one relationships with leaders of our affiliated organizations, with a specific focus on community and faith organizations.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop member leaders.
  • Conduct individual and group meetings.
  • Plan, carry out, and organize member leaders to participate in direct actions to advance our fights (e.g., rallies, marches, car caravans, nonviolent civil disobedience, etc.)
  • Organize member leaders to participate in political action to advance our fights (e.g., town hall meetings, public hearings, mass lobby days, etc.)


  • Demonstrated commitment to progressive social change, including greater working-class power, racial justice, and gender equity.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Strong planning, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Readiness to work long or irregular hours during campaigns.
  • Knowledge of foreign languages, particularly Spanish, is a plus.

This position is either full-time or part-time, depending on the circumstance. Competitive salary is negotiable depending on experience; benefits are excellent.
