CBA Clerk

Based in Falls Church, VA


The CBA Clerk is required to decipher, analyze, and implement contribution obligations from collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) to the National Benefit Funds and/or Local Union fringe benefits. Additionally, the CBA Clerk assists in gathering information for withdrawal liability assessments and lawsuits and assist with the Internet Payment Site (IPS) support.


  • Must maintain a high level of understanding and interpretation of collective bargaining, participation, and adoption agreements (CBAs) and any other billing documents, including reciprocity documents, and analyze and document adjustments.
  • Effectively communicate with Local Unions and Employers on all required Plan changes affecting CBAs.
  • Maintain accurate files and database systems, research and adjust employer/participant records.
  • Organize and maintain appropriate documentation to support contribution rates.
  • Effectively follow contribution requirements consistent with the Plan Documents to determine the accuracy of employer remittance.
  • Create/maintain employer Master Files and employer remittance instructions. Includes set-up of new employers, customer service, terminate employer billings, and update employers contact information.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a multi-employer, Taft-Hartley, defined benefit plan.
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance in providing professional customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities while paying special attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • Accounting and bookkeeping experience helpful
