Qualifications:
- Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe PDF
- Must have completed a Building Trades Apprenticeship Program and have 10 years of Journeyperson experience.
- Foreman or other supervisory experience a plus
- Must be able to take direction and follow chain of command
- Must be organized, able to multi-task and prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required
Recruiter Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute recruiting efforts at high schools, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, job fairs, and other sectors.
- Ability to cold call potential applicants and present information about the program benefits
- Coordinate application, interview, and selection process of applicants
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community-based organizations, Helmets to Hardhats, government agencies, professional groups, school districts, colleges and universities, and union-based organizations to support workforce development
- Secure and coordinate wrap-around services to support pre-apprenticeship trainees while in pre-apprenticeship training and once placed in an affiliated union apprenticeship program
- Ability to travel on a limited basis
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Assist in fundraising for the program, including annual events, grant writing, etc.
- Track and report results of programmatic work, including demographics, placement, and financial reporting
- Prepare financial and other reports on the program
- Participate in Train the Trainer and have a willingness to learn and teach pre-apprenticeship materials based on the developed curriculum
- Work with staff to promote and brand the program to potential applicants and the general public
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

Compensation is salaried based on 40 hours a week at $30/hour, paid healthcare, and pension benefits. Paid two weeks off for Christmas, paid NABTU recognized National Holidays, mileage and lodging compensation for travel, and cell phone reimbursement.
