Director of Field Services

Job Description:
The Director of Field Services acts as President’s designee (as required) in Union representational and collective bargaining matters, is responsible for the implementation of Union’s policy and processes related to the representation of members of the Union and the proper enforcement of Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Enhances Union’s effectiveness by responding to incoming request from individuals and other entities in lieu of legal counsel, directing the management of pending and approved arbitration cases, serving as liaison for legal counsel in arbitration cases, independently negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and other duties as assigned by the President.

Requirements (minimum requirements):

  • Management and oversight of field staff
  • Oversees all grievances and arbitrations
  • Directs all collective bargaining
  • Directs all organizing activities
  • Provides training and education to staff and members as needed
  • Handles labor relations issues with field staff as directed by the President of the Union
  • Maintains personnel files on field staff
  • Participates in the disciplinary process
  • Services members and bargaining units as needed
