DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
The candidate’s responsibilities within this position will consist of critique reviews of facility files consisting of these types of audits Operational, Financial & Compliance for risk mitigation for protection of our members & our organization’s assets.
- Operational Audit: Accurately determine a facility is performing within the operational guidelines and compliance within the contractional agreement with 1199NE. This is to include but not limited to submission of Monthly Net Term Date, use of Proper Dues Template, timely Uploads to our Secure Citrix system.
- Review current efficiencies and effectiveness for best practice implementations to increase performance.
- Financial Audit: Proper analysis of sample size for determination of accurate calculations have been prepared within the conformity guidelines of the contractual agreement with 1199NE. This detailed review will consist of dues reporting and all related items associated to member’s dues, (i.e., Dues Calculator, Dues Card, Payment Frequency, Employment Status to include ID, Initiation and/or Agency fees.
- Compliance Audit: Ability to decipher the proper policies and procedures of facility’s contractual agreements with 1199NE have been fully followed without any deviations for risk mitigation to protect our members and our organizational assets.
- Excellent problem solving/judgmental skills, with a high-level diligence for accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise extreme discretion and is result-driven.
- Extensive analytical, organizational, time management and communication skills (written & verbal), with the ability to work under pressure.
- Utilize strong financial skills and understand the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated accounting system of debits & credits, G/L & subledger accounts that affects our accounts associated with a completed audit that requires reclass of funds all while maintaining GAAP & FASB practices.
- Properly documentation of findings for accurate reclass of funds to our cash application personnel to ensure funds are correctly allocated.
- Responsible for electronic documented workflow procedures and tests to ensure accuracy of the process(es) is complete.
- Possess a collaborator mentality with the ability to successfully work independently when needed.
- Other financial tasks/responsibilities to include but not limited to special projects as needed.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance required; Accounting Degree preferred
- 5+ years in an accounting environment performing some audits and/or financial document review
- 7-10 years accounting experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
