Field Representative

Based in Boston, MA

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Duties shall consist of organizing and servicing locals, preparing and negotiating contracts, legislative activity, liaison with labor and educational groups or any other areas of work necessary to advance the interests of the AFT Massachusetts as assigned by the president or her designee.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in education, library services or health care; experience in working for unions representing teachers and other educational personnel, librarians, or health care workers. Academic training in labor relations.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The position includes a generous salary and benefits package in accord with the collective bargaining agreement with the AFT Massachusetts Professional Staff Union. Salary range $86,000 – $150,000 commensurate with experience.

This position is in the AFT Massachusetts Professional Staff Union. Candidates must have access to a car and be willing to travel throughout Massachusetts.
