Introduction
Texas is experiencing an unprecedented clean energy transition that will create tens of thousands of new jobs over the next decade. Texas Climate Jobs Project is seeking a passionate and dedicated Workforce Development Coordinator to support the recruitment and placement of individuals into an apprenticeship readiness course designed to empower underserved populations by providing access to postsecondary education and prepare them for careers that promote financial stability and career growth in the skilled trades.

Overview of the Organization
The mission of the Texas Climate Jobs Project is to advance a pro-climate, pro-worker agenda in Texas. Through innovative research and policy development; popular education; community engagement; advocacy; workforce development; and strategic coalition building and partnerships, Texas Climate Jobs Project is engaging in collective action to win substantive policy changes that both protect the climate and create good local jobs.

Our statewide workforce development program is based on the nationally recognized construction curriculum, Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3). MC3 is a 120-hour course created by North America’s Building Trades Unions and it is designed to introduce students to the building trades; the value of apprenticeship readiness; and help them decide on a career path in the construction trades. MC3 adheres to core learning objectives around construction math, construction tools, and financial literacy, along with other themes that prepare students for union construction apprenticeship programs. As the Workforce Development Coordinator, you will support the recruitment and placement of students into the apprenticeship readiness program and, ultimately, a registered apprenticeship program.
