Today, we represent the most highly skilled trowel trades craftworkers across the United States and Canada including bricklayers, stone and marble masons, cement masons, plasterers, tile setters, terrazzo and mosaic workers, and pointers/ cleaners/ caulkers. With over a century of protecting the rights of our workers, BAC is the oldest continuous union in North America.
The Position:
The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) is seeking a talented individual to assist its Central Collections Unit in the coordination of its activities, including manual calculations of employer contributions and coordinate the required research in data entry and correcting nay errors found. BAC, North America’s longest-serving trade union, is dedicated to organizing masonry craftworkers throughout the United States and Canada for the purpose of improving the lives of our members, their families, and their communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examining and processing incoming employer payroll audits
- Researching data entry work and correcting errors as well as identifying outstanding delinquent employer accounts
- Balancing audit batches to coversheets to ensure that all withholdings are accurately allocated in Revenue Accounting System (RAS)
- Manually calculating employer contribution reports to include contributions for the International Pension Fund (IPF), The International Retirement Savings Plan (RSP), The International Health Fund (IHF), The International Masonry Institute (IMI), and check-ff dues for the International Union
- Reaching out to employers and local unions to resolve errors on monthly reporting forms
- Answering questions from employers regarding reporting forms
- Providing up-to-date balances on delinquent employer accounts
- Mailing monthly fringe benefit contribution forms and attaching recap analysis sheets, providing an accurate account of employer discrepancies (charges/credits)
- Developing a complete understanding of the functions of purpose of BACRemit, the online employer remittance system
- Performing additional special projects as assigned by the Supervisor
Skills & Other Requirements:
- Experience in data processing and input keying operation
- Ability to analyze and correct keying input errors
- Ability to handle telephone inquiries from locals and employers
- Accurate use of a 10-key calculator
- Experience processing payroll audits a plus
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday
