Director of Membership Processing

The Federal Education Association (FEA) is seeking a Director of Membership Processing to manage membership systems and activities worldwide. This position ensures accurate records, coordinates with Area staff, and supports financial reconciliation while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration: Manage users and updates for NEA360, the Integrated Membership System (IMS), and Membership Reconciliation Application (MRA). Represent FEA in NEA system discussions.
  • Membership Processing: Maintain IMS records, process enrollments, cancellations, and refunds, and address member issues. Manage online enrollments and credit card chargebacks (RCC).
  • Dues Reconciliation and Collection: Process EFT rejections, resolve payment issues, and oversee year-end closing and annual rollover.
  • Monthly Processes: Generate and distribute membership cards and reports for management.
  • Check Processing and Reporting: Process membership payment checks, fulfill data requests, and support accurate recordkeeping.
  • Membership Service: Respond promptly to member inquiries and maintain a professional, service-driven attitude.
  • Communications and Collaboration: Work closely with Area personnel and internal teams to resolve issues and support FEA initiatives.

Skills Required

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management (IMS experience preferred).
  • Detail-oriented with strong math, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced and high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly with remote teams across international time zones.

This is a non-bargaining unit, confidential position. The salary range is $89,000 – $100,000, based upon prior experience. Fringe benefits include hybrid work schedule; vacation and sick leave; holidays; health, dental and a 401(k) plan.
