Training and Events Administrator

Based in Washington, DC

 

The National Air Traffic Controllers Association, AFL-CIO ("NATCA"), the labor union representing federal-sector and private-sector air traffic controllers and other aviation safety professionals, has an immediate opening for a Training and Events Administrator in its Washington, D.C. headquarters office.

The Training and Events Administrator is primarily responsible for: (1) setting up online training registration; confirming attendee participation approval; coordinating attendee reports; and tracking data; (2) coordinating logistics for trainings; (3) attending trainings to support instructors and trainees, as needed; printing materials; and ordering handbooks and other supplies; (4) providing member service regarding all details of the training process, including timely responses to attendee questions through emails and phone calls; assisting members with training registration; reviewing travel plans and vouchers to ensure compliance with NATCA policies; and responding to questions regarding vouchers, expenses, and invoices; (5) managing shipments for events and organizing and keeping accurate inventory of all storage units; (6) assisting in the on-site logistics of NATCA national events; (7) coordinating and fulfilling NATCA shipments for community outreach; and (8) updating project management tools and taking accurate notes for committee meetings.

To qualify for this position, an applicant must have an associate’s degree or higher, or relevant work experience; knowledge of office administrative procedures and standard office equipment, including computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and presentation applications; and the ability to perform multiple tasks effectively and under tight deadlines. Applicants should also exhibit an ability to work independently and with minimal supervision; excellent interpersonal skills; and a strong attention to detail, particularly in typing and proofreading materials and establishing priorities.

The salary range for this position is $61,068 to $109,922 depending on experience.
