Job Title: Individual Donor Fundraising Coordinator
Location: Hybrid remote work with Home office at any PWC Office location (Historic Filipinotown, Panorama City, Vista or Chula Vista)
Job Type: Part-Time (~20 hours/week) and Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director
Supervises: No
Compensation: $35,547.20 annually (0.5 FTE)
Position Overview
The Fundraising Coordinator supports PWC’s mission by coordinating day-to-day fundraising and donor engagement activities. The position plays a key role in implementing fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and events that deepen relationships with individual donors, foundations, and community partners. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, people-centered, and passionate about social justice and community empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Relations & Communications
- Manage and update donor database; ensure timely and accurate data entry, acknowledgment, and follow-up.
- Draft donor communications including thank-you letters, newsletters, and updates.
- Support relationship building with individual donors through phone calls, handwritten notes, and personalized outreach.
- Assist in the development of donor cultivation, segmentation and stewardship plans.
Fundraising Campaigns & Events
- Coordinate logistics for annual fundraising campaigns (e.g., year-end appeals, peer-to-peer campaigns, giving days).
- Support event planning for donor briefings, community celebrations, and benefit events.
- Track participation and evaluate campaign results.
- Collaborate with communications staff to create social media and email content for fundraising activities.
Fund Development Operations
- Implement and maintain the organization’s fundraising website, ensuring up-to-date content, donation functionality, and consistent donor experience.
- Maintain organized systems for donor and grant tracking, and CRM management.
- Ensure accuracy of donor records, contact lists, and giving histories.
- Collect program data, stories, and impact metrics to support campaigns.
- Generate regular fundraising reports and dashboards for internal use.
Collaboration & Organizational Culture
- Work closely with staff across departments to integrate fundraising with storytelling and program work.
- Participate in team meetings, retreats, and organization-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to an inclusive, respectful, and equity-driven workplace culture.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to the mission and values of social, racial, and economic justice.
- 2–4 years of experience in fundraising, development, communications, or event coordination in a nonprofit setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft clear, engaging donor messages. Must be able to write clearly and persuasively, and to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work cooperatively across departments and contribute to shared goals.
- Comfort with CRM/database systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce, or similar).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Cultural humility and experience working with immigrant and/or worker communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in grassroots fundraising or community-based organizations.
- Bi-lingual, preferably in Tagalog.
- Graphic design or digital content experience (Canva, Mailchimp, or similar tools).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Willingness to travel within the U.S. for outreach, events, and meetings.
