Communications Coordinator
Based in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM
IATSE Local 480, New Mexico’s Film Technicians and Studio Mechanics, has an opening for a Communications Coordinator. A successful candidate must have strong communication skills in a professional, union environment. Responsible for leading all internal and external communications, including managing the union's social media accounts. Strong graphic design skills are required, and all materials must follow an already established Style Guide.
The Communications Coordinator manages communication campaigns, including member engagement, benefit enrollment, event promotions, professional development marketing, training emails and sign-ups, and election communications. They produce the weekly newsletter and Late Breaking News, design and create marketing materials and branded assets (flyers, posters, merchandise, and event materials), and maintain website content, including event updates and page design.
Must be able to work independently while collaborating with the Business Representative, officers, committees, and other departments on messaging, coordinating with IT on website updates, and interfacing with the SWAG Committee to design Local 480 merchandise as needed.
This full-time in-office position will be based out of either our Santa Fe or Albuquerque location. The position is part of the OPEIU Local 251 bargaining unit.
