SUMMARY: Performs a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative, research and communicative duties related to the work of the Corporate Affairs Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs research and strategic campaign support for use in company campaigns and industry issues. 
  • Compiles quantitative and qualitative information on companies & industries, and provides and communicates findings to department staff to assist in department projects. 
  • Creates and maintains Department Investment Database.
  • Assists the Department in the development of various educational manuals and training materials using graphics formatting computer software. 
  • May be required to travel or attend conferences and meetings to perform administrative and/or training duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent. At least four years of research experience and/or comparable computer systems proficiencies with a strong working knowledge of the construction industry and organizational skills. Excellent grammar, proofreading and editing skills. Extensive knowledge of either Microsoft or WordPerfect Suite, Excel and Access.

  • Excellent communication and public relations abilities,
  • Strong typing and computer application skills,
  • Working knowledge of complex database systems and Laserfiche applications,
  • Ability to assist and support others,
  • Ability to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines,
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and office protocol,
  • Excellent proofreading and editing ability with special attention to material design and appearance,
  • Accountability for work performance and follow-up independent of direct supervision.
